Zii Ropa's first collection "No. 1" was released in 2016 and is designed by Vancouver native, Bridget Tidey. After finishing fashion communication school, she spent a few years traveling and studied fine art from various teachers in Europe and North America. She then moved to India and worked under Italian clothing designer Liliana Fassino and later moved to a small town in Baja California Sur, Mexico, where she was eventually inspired to begin making one of a kind pieces and selling them out of an abandoned building she renovated into a store. The pieces became coveted among locals and tourists and she soon decided to move to Mexico City where she now lives and produces the line.
Bridget believes in living a balanced life between work and play, travel and stability, living in the city and in the country. The word "zii" represents to "see" life how you want, and live a life you choose full of passion and adventure. The clothes are both out of this philosophy of living your life as a work of art. Zii Ropa is based on the principle of longevity, using the highest quality craftsmanship and the most beautiful natural fibre fabrics imported from North American and Europe.
We met Bridget in our hometown of Todos Santos, BCS, Mexico, and Zii Ropa was one of the designers represented by Nomad Chic at our annual fashion show, Noche de Moda 2015. We are extremely proud to bring Zii Ropa to northern California. Come see us soon... xoxo
