The simple, natural palette and pattern drew us immediately. Their softness and warmth inspired us to bring them into the home.
Hard to believe such beautiful wool would be used for something so simple as sacks for carrying potatoes. The collective of women we found making these live throughout the Sacred Valley of Peru where these are still used for exactly that.
Each potato sack is unique and takes three weeks to make by hand. Llama wool is spun, woven, and meticulously finished by hand. By nature of their intended use, the quality and durability of this textile is incredible.
